We exist out of a desire to offer friendship, fellowship and the love of Christ to youth and young adults with disabilities and their families. We offer a place of safety for these individuals, ages 14-26, to socialize with their peers, gain encouragement from loving mentors, and grow in the knowledge of Christ.
"...Well, we were in need of a "sitter" for Amy in January so we took her to Compassionate Heart Ministry for the first time, and she loved it! She woke up the next morning asking when she could go back and has asked every day since then. Amy has three sisters who are all involved in things other than school, sports and youth group. Now Amy has a "thing" other than school too, and it is obvious to us everyday how much this means to her. We love you." --The Hoekstras
A Sense of Belonging.
Involvement in Compassionate Heart gives individuals with disabilities a sense of belonging in a world where they are so often shunned and misunderstood.
Knowing they will be greeted with a warm smile, individuals walk through the door confidently. They leave feeling encouraged and better enabled to take an active part in society and in the family of God.
